After enrolling in Emerson College in Boston, Dan Levy began performing at open mics and other strange venues, where people were more focused on their beer, than what the wannabe comics were saying.
As a sophomore in college, Levy was chosen to compete at HBO's The Comedy Festival in Aspen, Colorado, where he won the title of Funniest College Comedian.
Since then, Levy has been seen at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival numerous times and has made television appearances on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, and Chelsea Lately, where he is a regular guest on the round table. Levy is currently touring internationally with Aziz Ansari and has a comedy album, Congrats on Your Success, being released this fall on Comedy Central Records.
As an actor, Levy's next big screen appearance will be in A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, while his next television appearance will be playing the role of Seth on the upcoming HBO series, Enlightened. He recently starred in the Comedy Central pilot, Let It Ride.
As a writer and producer, Levy has written scripts for MTV, Fox, NBC, Sony, and a movie for ABC Family called Stoked: The Band. He shot the pilot My Long Distance Relationship for MTV, based on his popular web series for Sony's www.crackle.com. He looks forward to one of his projects getting on the air, so he can finally buy an Escalade Hybrid.
In late 2009, Levy began working in reality television, when he created and served as executive producer of E!'s reality series, Pretty Wild. Since then, he has developed another series for E!, as well as a pilot for WE tv, and is currently working on a sketch comedy show with VH1, serving as executive producer. Levy lives in Los Angeles, where he is writing more television shows and collecting more sneakers. His wife would like him to stop with the sneakers.
