Johnny Sanchez

Johnny Sanchez Biography

Johnny Sanchez is one of America's premier comedians. Having performed in comedy clubs for years, he has honed his comedy into an exquisite art form. From coast to coast and everywhere in between, Sanchez is always a club favorite. With his feverish energy, detailed characters, and pinpoint delivery, his shows take you on a laughing journey of people, places, and life. He is known for his storytelling and is unrivaled when it comes to physical comedy. Sanchez's audiences are always captivated by his clever metaphors, inventive scenarios, and hilarious characters. He is one of those comedians who also transcends as a true performer.

Sanchez is a California native raised in the San Joaquin Valley. He is a third generation Mexican American, or as he calls himself, "Generation Mex." What that means is, as he explains, "I feel like baseball and apple pie, but I look like nachos and a c*ckfight."

Sanchez has taken that crossover ability to new heights. He is able to do shows for a multitude of ages and cultures. That is because Sanchez began his career in one of this country's largest melting pots, Los Angeles. He started at the Comedy Store on the famed Sunset Strip. For years, he has remained as one of Hollywood's hottest rising stars.

Besides his club shows, Sanchez has toured with Louie Anderson and most recently, the Crown Royal Latin Kings of Comedy tour with Paul Rodriquez. His stand up television appearances include the HBO Comedy Showcase, Showtime's Latino Laugh Festival, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, his own half-hour Comedy Central Presents special, along with the USO Comedy Tour, and most recently, Byron Allen's Comics Unleashed on ABC, and the upcoming Showtime special, The Payaso Comedy Slam. Along with appearances on sitcoms and films, he has also most notably worked alongside Robin Williams and Elijah Wood as Lombardo in the Oscar Award winning animated film, Happy Feet.
