Director of Sales & Marketing

The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies to maximize revenue for Laugh Factory, Inc. The position is also responsible for the elevation of the company’s brand commensurate with strategic goals set forth by the leadership team. The efforts of this position will significantly contribute to meeting or exceeding our company’s sales and profitability objectives. This is an opportunity for a talented and passionate individual interested in gaining experience in the entertainment industry. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the creation and execution of strategies and tactics for reaching sales goals for short term     and long-term sales campaigns
  • Develop and create copy for marketing collateral, email, website and other materials as assigned
  • Develop and execute the master marketing plan, coordinating with the club managers to integrate event specific plans
  • Facilitate the development of all marketing communications and promotional activities related to brand development and event promotion
  • Develop and execute advertising/media plans and negotiate media tradeoffs
  • Meet with key clients, current & potential business partners to maintain relationships, negotiate, and close deals
  • Continually monitor market trends, identify opportunities and risks and make recommendations to drive business to meet objectives
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
  • Quantify and track brand “health” and performance and work with cross-functional teams to increase relevant metrics
  • Quantify and track ROI of advertising and promotions
  • Ensure effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives fall within designated budgets
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 4-7 years progressive experience in sales and marketing, with a minimum of 2 years managing a team
  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, multi-platform marketing
  • Proven track record and strong background in sales; Takes a hands-on approach to navigating and managing projects from multiple channels
  • Attention to detail and the ability to apply critical thinking to decision process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that professionally and effectively interact with staff, colleagues, external contacts, and the executive           management
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively present to small and large groups
  • Strong effective communicator
  • Ability to meet goals consistently and go beyond them
  • Demonstrates a high sense of urgency and comfortable managing multiple projects in a high growth, rapid change environment
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing and executing key business strategies is required
  • Creative and innovative with a passion for excellence
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution
  • Expert in Internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record
  • Ability to lead in an environment of constant change
  • Experience working in a flexible, employee empowering work environment

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required
  • MBA with sales and marketing experience preferred
