About Laugh Factory Chicago

Located at 3175 N. Broadway in the Lakeview East neighborhood, Laugh Factory Chicago is the fourth location founded by Jamie Masada, who opened the first comedy club to pay comics in 1979 Los Angeles, when he was still a teenager. Following a $5 million renovation of the former Lakeshore Theatre, the space seats 350 people, serves food from local restaurants and has a full bar. The club hosts charity shows every week and Masada is committed to giving back to the community. They have served food to the homeless every year on Christmas and Thanksgiving for the past decade. In addition to his love of philanthropy, Masada has been instrumental in launching the careers of many of today's biggest comics. The New York Daily News called him the "Real King of Comedy." His knowledge and expertise have made him a leading authority on all things comedy and his advice is highly regarded by the entertainment industry's top power brokers.
