Team Bust Out Laughing Walks in 5k Breast Health Fundraiser

LOS ANGELES – The Laugh Factory’s official fundraising team, Bust Out Laughing, will join 17 other teams in the Making Strides of Studio City 5k to support the American Cancer Society’s fight against breast cancer on Oct. 6, 2013, 8a.m. at CBS Studios in Studio City, Calif.

Team Bust Out Laughing, comprised of Laugh Factory staff members and well-known comedians, will walk to help raise awareness in reducing breast cancer risk and honor those who have battled breast cancer. Supporters are encouraged to join a team of their choosing, or donate to the cause to raise funds for ACS’ cancer prevention and research efforts.

“We are honored to walk alongside individuals who support this cause; some of them having battled or are battling the disease themselves,” said Jamie Masada, owner of the Laugh Factory. “Laughter is healing. We are always looking to heal people in some way and through this walk we have the opportunity to help save lives.”

Masada, who has been recognized with numerous awards for his humanitarian efforts, invites participants to enjoy a free night of comedy at the Laugh Factory. Every person who walks in the event will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to the comedy club to thank them for their support.

More information on the walk can be found at the American Cancer Society website, www.makingstrideswalk.org, or at the Bust Out Laughing team page, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/BustOutLaughing
