Laugh Factory's 3rd Anniversary at the Tropicana Las Vegas

The world-famous Laugh Factory will celebrate its third anniversary at The New Tropicana Las Vegas the week of April 9-12 and will surely be filled to capacity due to the presence of comedy star Dom Irrera, who will be headlining joined by the featured acts of Eleanor J. Kerrigan and Frazer Smith.

The Las Vegas Laugh Factory opened its doors at The New Tropicana Las Vegas on April 9, 2012, with co-headliners Ron Pearson from The Tonight Show and Ahmed Ahmed of Sullivan & Sons. Since its opening, Laugh Factory has quickly become one of the hottest comedy clubs on the Las Vegas Strip.

The special 7 p.m. headliner slot has starred a slew of comedy legends such as superstar Roseanne Barr during a successful five-month residency, followed by a six-month run by the celebrated Gallagher, minus the "melon smashing." Laugh Factory will announce their new residency headlining comedy star in the coming weeks.

Since its opening, Laugh Factory Las Vegas has had some famous names grace its stage as booked acts, as well as some surprise guest comics popping up. Some of these famous faces include George Wallace, Louie Anderson, Paul Rodriguez, Ron White, Frank Caliendo, Hannibal Buress, Russell Peters, Pauly Shore, Sammy Shore and Rob Schneider, to name a few. Laugh Factory is excited about going into their fourth year at The New Tropicana Las Vegas, a great entertainment destination not only for comedy, but also now with two hot new productions in the Tropicana Theater, Raiding the Rock Vault and The New ILLUSIONS starring master illusionist Jan Rouven.

"We couldn’t be happier to be celebrating Laugh Factory’s third anniversary at our property and look forward to many more," said Fred Harmon, chief marketing officer for The New Tropicana Las Vegas.

When Dom Irrera takes the stage on April 9, he won’t simply get on it; he will own it! Irrera projects a charisma that firmly engages audiences from the opening moment! His first big break was in Rodney Dangerfield’s HBO comedy special Nothing Goes Right. Irrera’s own One Night Stand on HBO earned him his first of several CableACE Awards for Best Stand-up Comedy Special. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The View, and made several appearances on Oprah. Irrera also guest starred on Seinfeld, Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens. Film credits include a featured role in Robert Townsend’s Hollywood Shuffle, a cameo in the Coen brothers’ film The Big Lebowski, and The 4th Tenor starring his old pal Rodney.

Eleanor J. Kerrigan is the latest in a long line of historically funny women who cut their teeth at the world-famous The Comedy Store. Starting out as a waitress there, Kerrigan learned the ropes of comedy while making the best comics in the country laugh from the kitchen. It would take several years and lots of pushing from one of her biggest fans, Andrew Dice Clay, to finally get her to take her comedic talents to the stage. After co-starring with him in Dice: Undisputed, Dice invited Kerrigan to go on the road with him to promote the show. Her hilarious take on life comes from her unique experiences growing up street-savvy in South Philly as one of 10 children in a very Irish-Catholic family.

Frazer Smith is not only one of the funniest comics on the LA scene today, he is also one of comedy’s most well-connected personalities. After 30 years in the business, Smith has appeared on numerous TV shows and has been one of the most listened to DJs on KLOS for years! You may also recognize him as the host on NBC’s Rockin’ America.
