Comedian of the Year 2025

Trevor Noah is best known for hosting "The Daily Show" between 2015 and 2022. In that time taking on controversial elections, COVID-19, and what it means to be a media in the 21st century. But after his departure in 2022, Noah has become an artist that has been paving the way for philanthropy in comedy. In 2025, Trevor Noah has gone on tour, hosted the Grammy's, and hosts the "What Now? with Trevor Noah" political podcast.

The Trevor Noah foundation describes their work as, "an ode to the greatest gift Trevor Noah has ever received, learning. Fueled by Trevor’s love for education, for giving kids an opportunity, and for the teachers that got him to where he is today; the Foundation honestly believes education is the seed from which everything grows."

In 2025, the Trevor Noah Foundation has continued to make an impact in South Africa, with deeper commitment and investment for long-term success. Noah and his team have raised millions of dollars in funds to invest in learning spaces, educators, and communities to be driven by education. Amidst a teacher shortage and a rising youth population, the team members at the TNF are working tirelessly to affect change in this discrepancy.

One of their most successful endeavors this year has been in the completion of a community hall at Eqinisweni Secondary School, built by local NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) youth through our Faranani Infrastructure Project. Spanning 1,044 square meters and seating up to 300 people.

And late last year, Trevor Noah published his new book "Into the Uncut Grass". Illustrated by Sabina Hahn, aimed at young readers, Noah writes in his prologue, “It’s about disagreements and difference... it is a book for kids to share with parents and for parents to share with kids.” This book has allowed young readers and parents to smile at the decisions that face us in todays world in topics of family, making impactful choices, and of course: waffles.

Trevor Noah has taken his impact that he had in comedy and news media and has been able to positively impact the lives of the youth all over the world, paving the way for a better future.
