Aisling is a classically trained (LAMDA) actor, award-winning stand-up, writer and solid guest at a dinner party. She has appeared in numerous TV shows and films, pretending to be other people and also pretending to be herself. In December 2014, after just three and a half years of stand-up, she won the British Comedy Award for Best Female TV Comedian. As an actress, she played the role of Kiera Sheridan in the acclaimed BBC/Netflix drama series The Fall with Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson and Kendra in Tom Basden’s show Gap Year, for E4. She was in the BBC/Hulu drama Hard Sun from Luther creator Neil Cross. Her other credits include playing Charlie in two series of Sky One’s Trollied, Lisa in Green Wing creator Victoria Pile’s primetime ITV/Netflix series Delivery Man, Laura in Sharon Horgan’s show Dead Boss, now available on Hulu in the US, and Anne-Marie in The Damned, Jo Brand and Morwenna Banks’ show for Channel 4. As a writer, she has a script commission with Channel 4 and award-winning Catastrophe star and writer, Sharon Horgan and her production company Merman. She also has various other film and TV writing projects in development. In November 2016, she became the first-ever female captain of the long running British panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats with Jimmy Carr.
