Writer/performer Frank DeCaro hosts his own live national talk show The Frank DeCaro Show every weekday on Sirius Satellite Radio and can be seen every night as a panelist on the GSN's update of the classic TV game show I've Got a Secret. For nearly seven years, he co-wrote and hosted the popular Out at the Movies segments on the Emmy Award-winning Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. The New York Times declared, "His campy and often catty film reviews are among the funniest things on television." A much sought-after pop culture pundit, he has appeared on numerous programs including TV Land's Tickled Pink, Logo's kickoff program The Evolution Will Be Televised, CNN's Showbiz Tonight, NBC's Dateline, VH1's The List with Ashton Kutcher, E! Entertainment Television's The E! True Hollywood Story: The Sopranos, and Bravo's Bravo Profiles: Ru Paul. Among his many TV credits are Style's Craft Corner Death Match, Comedy Central's Win Ben Stein's Money, Oxygen's Oh! I Love Shoes!, the Fine Living Channel special A Swell Holiday, and on PBS, the frequently rebroadcast special, A Flea Market Documentary, and an installment of In the Life. On stage, DeCaro is a frequent host of Homo Comicus at Gotham Comedy Club and has performed his stand-up at Comix in Manhattan’s meatpacking district. He has appeared at film festivals around the country, presenting an evening of clips and comedy called Flaming Screens. Acting work includes roles in Cupidity, a 10-minute musical at the New York Theatre Workshop, the Tweed Fractured Classicks version of Rosemary’s Baby at the Angel Orensanz Theater, and, along with Cynthia Nixon and Caroline Rhea, The Drama Dept. Thanksgiving Special at the Lucille Lortel Theater. He and Nixon later teamed with Isaac Mizrahi for the Drama Dept.'s staged reading of Personal Appearance at the Prada Store in Soho.

A former journalist and fashion editor–despite his color blindness–DeCaro wrote the funny-but-chic biweekly column "Style Over Substance" for The New York Times. His work has appeared in myriad publications including The New York Times Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Entertainment Weekly, Newsweek, Vogue, USA Weekend, Metropolitan Home, In Style, Time Out New York, and the Advocate. He twice taught the Fashion Makers course at New York University, has put words in David Bowie's mouth as a writer of the Vogue VH1 Fashion Awards 2000, and did the same for Beyoncé at the MTV Video Music Awards 2001. Born in Manhattan and raised in New Jersey, DeCaro is the author of A Boy Named Phyllis: A Suburban Memoir (Viking, 1996), which Vanity Fair called "hilarious." His comic essays are included in Out, Loud, & Laughing (Anchor, 1995), Out in All Directions (Warner, 1995), How to Live a Sitcom Life (TV Books, 1999), Promotion in the Advertising Environment (Fairchild Publications, 2000), and The Q Guide to the Golden Girls (Alyson, 2006). His coffee table biography Unmistakably Mackie: The Fashion and Fantasy of Bob Mackie (Universe, 1999) got a B+ in Entertainment Weekly. A graduate of Northwestern University, he remains happily "taken" and lives in New York City with his partner of more than ten years, author Jim Colucci, and their very funny Boston terrier, Herman.
