Jody Carlson-Astrom grew up in the Washington D.C area and graduated with honors from the University of Virginia.  She was a working model in New York with Wilhelmina before coming to Los Angeles.  Her modeling clients have included wonderful designers such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Christian Lacroix, Jordache, Joie, Black Halo, Guess, Nike, Lucky Brand Jeans, Citizens of Humanity, AG Denim et al.  Jody is also a professionally trained actress having studied in New York at the William Esper Studio and coached by Susan Batson.  Highlights of her acting career include studying with Fiona Shaw and Julian Glover at The British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.  Theatre Credits Incl: Othello, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, Coriolanus, Henry IV, An Ideal Husband, Ockham’s Razor, Bread and Butter and Abortion.  Film and TV Credits Incl: Kill Speed, Dragon Wars, VideoDome Rent-A-Rama, Ten Souls Rising, Dancing with Walken, Guiding Light and MTV’s Snitch. She has performed her one woman show, Found, at the United Nations and is currently working as the writer-director for a Documentary called No Kill on rescue dogs.
