You might know this comedian from…

Pound for pound, there is not too many other comedians that come with the energy, passion, and intensity that comedian Reggie Jr. has because of the unique brand of physical and voice humor he brings to the stage. “When I hit the stage I want to do just that, hit the stage. I want to comically assault everyone in the audience. I want people in the audience to asphyxiate from the lack of oxygen because they are laughing so hard”.

Reggie Jr. was born March 26, 1981 in Kansas City. At a young age, he realized his gift as an entertainer and started pursuing his dream as a stand-up comedian in high school. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2001, he quickly learned that the world was not a barrel of laughs, having to struggle with day-to-day life as a full time student at Clark Atlanta University and paying bills. “This is why I am so aggressive on stage. Because of the hard times I had when I first moved to Atlanta, I have a survivor’s mentality on stage”. He developed his act through the open mic circuit and began hosting regularly. In January 2004, Reggie joined the United States Army in order to earn money to finish college. In spring of 2005, while still serving in the Army, he received his first big break in the Comedy Carnival Cruise Contest at the Punchline comedy club in which he placed 3rd. In the summer of 2006, Reggie also appeared in Robert Townsend’s Partners in Crime: The Next Generation. Reggie continues to pursue his love for stand-up comedy and is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Mass Communications. Reggie feels much more optimistic about the future and has many goals that he has yet to accomplish, but feels anything is possible as long as he stays focused and positive.
