You might know this comedian from…
After being cut from the junior high basketball team, Sapna auditioned for the school play and has been acting ever since. With a B.A. in Theater and Creative Writing from Purdue University, Sapna began her career in Chicago, where she trained at iO and acted in over 10 theater productions, including understudying at the Steppenwolf Theater, and touring nationwide with Chamber Theater of Boston.
Now living in Los Angeles, Sapna is delving into the landscape of film and television. She played a supporting role in the indie feature Promise Land, which was a Sundance Film Festival Selection, and appeared in the OUTFEST selection Jamie and Jessie Are Not Together. As a stand-up comic, Sapna has been seen on Logo TV’s One Night Stand Up 9 and NBC’s Last Comic Standing 4, and was voted one of the 50 Hottest Women in Comedy in 2013 by AfterEllen.com.
This past year, Sapna wrapped three short films and a web series, and will be shooting her original short in August. This girl loves to enter characters and would be willing to play a basketball player again, if a director asked her to.
