Originally from Washington D.C., Vanja is a LA based actor and stand-up comic that began a stage career as a rapper at age 12 performing with local groups HotTracks and Sole Influence. She later studied acting at the well-known and award-winning Studio Theatre in Washington DC and joined Bethesda-based theatre company The Quotidian Theatre Co. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Los Angeles pursuing acting and stand-up comedy with The Robey Theatre Co, The Ford Theatres, The Stella Adler and many more. Her stand-up venues include The Comedy Store, The Ice House, Flappers and The Viper Room. She's also affiliated with the Groundlings Theatre, the Ruskin Theatre and Joel Asher Studio. Known for her edgy, sexy wordplay and goofy stage persona, Vanja won third place in a major LA Stand-Up Comedy Mini-Fest in 2014.
