Atsuko Okatsuka is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who earned the admiration of her peers with her unique brand of stand-up comedy. In 2018, Vulture Magazine featured her in their “38 Comedians You Should and Will Know,” report, calling her comedy a "pretty perfect distillation of the Japanese-American experience delivered as succinct observations in a cool, calm, collected manner.” In 2019, TimeOut LA featured her as one of the top 10 Comedians To Watch in Los Angeles. As a touring comic, Atsuko plays to local and nationwide audiences, whether it’s at comedy clubs or at conferences and colleges. Atsuko also recently starred in her own one
hour special that aired on Hulu as part of a six episode series called Comedy InvAsian.
As a television writer, she has written on Adult Swim’s Soft Focus with Jena Friedman
and The Eric Andre Show, and has a number of pilots in development. Atsuko's latest creation, Let's Go Atsuko, A Woke Japanese Game Show, has monthly sold-out shows in Los Angeles and is a hit weekly  podcast as part of Foreverdog Podcast Network. Most recently, she has partnered with National Lampoons and Quibi to bring the televised version of Let’s Go Atsuko to screen. Born in Taiwan to Taiwanese and Japanese parents, Atsuko is fluent in three languages: English, Japanese, and Mandarin. Growing up in Los Angeles, she attended Venice High School, where she realized her love for performing. When she’s not performing on stage or behind the mic, she can be found dancing on her Instagram with her grandmother or giving hot takes of the world on Twitter.
