Blair Christian
A dance choreographer, designer and comedienne, Blair is a woman of many talents. Born Blair Christian Cartlidge, she started her professional career as a staged performer with Chicago's prestige hip-hop company Full Effect Dance Theater. Their innovative exhibition of hip-hop dance and conventional theater gave her a head start to the wonderful world of comedic improv. Later, she became a dancer and choreographer for hip-hop icon Missy Elliot, Ciara and others. In 2012, Blair joined the BANJI movement spearheaded by rap sensation Sharaya J. Not only dancing for Sharaya J, Blair was able to act and write in short movie spoofs that introduced each music video. Miss Blair then started stand-up comedy in 2012. The need for telling jokes became an addiction and she performed at various open mics 4-5 times a week. Just four months into her craft, she traveled to Los Angeles for the Females in Comedy Convention (FICA), where her gift for providing laughter was affirmed. Blair's showcase at the prominent Comedy Union was a success and provided her a new network of veteran comedians, promoters and producers. She returned to Chicago motivated and decided to produce her own show called Ladies Rock a Room. Blair also starred in a web series called IntHERpretations. At her first year anniversary mark as a comedic artist, Blair ardently auditioned for MTV 2's Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out improv show and was added to the 2014 sixth season's cast. In February of 2015, Blair "the dancer" reached a milestone by performing in the NFL Super Bowl halftime show with Katy Perry and Missy Elliott. Since then, the "funny feline" Blair was asked back for another series of Wild N Out, and taped her first comedy special. In just a short time, the rising star Blair Christian's comedic journey is in full speed and shows no signs of slowing down.
