Dan Ramos
Dan Ramos is a stand-up and sketch comedian, improviser, video editor, mediocre magician and son from Montreal. He graduated from Ryerson University’s radio and television arts program in 2008 with absolutely NO honors, other than his own. He’s studied with The Second City (Toronto), The Uprights Citizens Brigade (NYC) and has performed/collaborated with several of his favorite comedians/idols: Rex Navarrete, Ron Josol, Russell Peters and Brent Weinbach. He took part for the first time in the 2017 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal with his 60-minute one-man show MontreaL.A, his comedic journey from Montreal to Los Angeles. He was on ABC’s summer hit show revival The Gong Show, MTV’s Wild N’ Out, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (NBC), and The Detectives (CBC). He produced, shot and edited several music videos for Tokyo Police Club and Only Yours. In 2016, his short U.S.Eh! was in the top 30 for The Toronto International Film Festival x Instagram Shorts Competition. Ava Duvernay judged Dan’s film, saying that it “captures the deliciousness of life in the city.” She added that “there is so much beauty in everyday life; U.S.EH! inspires me to slow down and take a look around.“ Before moving to L.A, he produced and edited Marlo Thomas’ show on AOL Mondays With Marlo, where he worked closely with Marlo and her celebrity guests Kevin James, Ali Wentworth and Ron Howard. Dan now resides in L.A performing comedy and auditioning for film/tv.
