Robert Prorak II, also known by his stage name Dobber, is a Chicago conceived comedian currently residing on the Upper West Side in New York. After earning a bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Dobber came on as a staff writer for the now defunct Chicago comedy network, O So Good Comedy. Writing eventually propelled him on stage preforming stand-up, taking to the craft immediately due to an addiction to the instantaneous positive feedback and the ability to withdraw it consistently from the crowd. As a performer, Dobber draws from his “slanted perception of actuality,” serving up equal parts personal potboilers, quick-witted quips and one-liners, which focus on observational humor, behavioral satire and word play. He swiftly steals the room's attention, using a deadpan dissection of daily life, forging the audience into faithful friends.
