You might know this comedian from…

Drake Nelson comes from a family of performers. His family on his mother’s side was a touring musical group in the 1960’s and 1970’s, performing all over the country, while maintaining a healthy dose of drugs and alcohol in their systems. In Drake's twenties, he chased a dream of entering the world of professional wrestling, and when a career-ending injury took that away, he went back to college, receiving a degree in TV production. After producing wrestling television all over the west coast, he decided to walk away from that, and pursue another goal: stand-up comedy. A product of the 1980’s, Drake would watch and soak in comedy whereever he could, from the HBO specials starring George Carlin and Sam Kinision to the 30-minute specials seen all over cable in the 1990’s. Drake is a five-time winner of the Third St. Bar Comedy Competition in Reno, NV. He also hosts a video podcast on the Internet called Drake’s Crusty Couch. He has a wide variety of style in his comedy, from self-deprecating humor to observational, back to sex and long, funny stories, drawn from life experiences.
