Fawzia Mirza is a queer Pakistani-Canadian-American Muslim, in constant search of her cultural identity. She’s the creator, producer, co-writer and star of the comedic web series Kam Kardashian, where she plays the fictional long-lost lesbian Kardashian sister. She also wrote, produced and stars in a short comedic series, appropriately titled, Brown Girl Problems, because whether you know it or not, we all have them. She tours her solo show, Me, My Mom & Sharmila, a dramedy about our complicated relationship with our mothers, to colleges across the country. And the short film she co-wrote and directed, The Queen of My Dreams, about Bollywood and drag, toured to over 60 festivals across the world. She’s been on NBC’s Chicago Fire and has been in a bunch of indie films and web series you may or may not have heard of. She’s also performed at theatres across Chicago, including The Goodman, Silk Road Theatre Project, About Face Theatre, The MCA, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and 16th Street Theatre. She is a proud, self-proclaimed, Brown Girl.
