Los Angeles native Faysal Lawrence is a stand-up comedian, philosophy major, and attempted gentleman. His mother was able to leave Iraq before Faysal was born so he could have a chance at a life without tyranny. Faysal’s mother worked very hard to raise him as a single mother. To reward her hard work and sacrifice, Faysal dropped out of college before applying for law school to pursue comedy. As a philosophy major and a Middle Eastern American, Faysal brings a unique approach to comedy. His comedy focuses on the lack of logic in things, stereotypes that plague him, and the humor in watching his mom navigate a foreign land.
