You might know this comedian from…

Comedian Kyle Shire was raised in Des Plaines, IL a suburb of Chicago. While his mother worked nights as an ER nurse, he was loosely supervised by his older sisters, staying up late watching Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and John Waters movies. When his mother came home from work, Kyle would reenact his favorite scenes prompting his mother to either laugh and or recoil in horror.

Kyle studied at The Piven Theater Workshop, Second City, and Columbia College Chicago as a TV writing major. Kyle worked as an actor and writer on Columbia's sketch comedy TV show Out on a Limb for four years. During his senior year he co-created the sitcom Debbie's Got Class, which was nominated for a Midwest Emmy.

After graduating, Kyle moved to LA to pursue writing and a burgeoning love for stand up. Fast forward seven years and Kyle is the co-creator and co-host of the hetero-adjacent variety show Cobra Juice at the Steve Allen Theater. Cobra Juice has hosted the likes of Marc Maron, Dave Foley, Kyle Kinane, and Vicky Vox.

Kyle showcased at the San Diego Comedy Festival in 2015, toured with the Comedy's Best Kept Secret Tour, and is a featured performer for RSVP Cruises. He can be seen regularly on Erin Foley's Gays R Us at the Hollywood Improv. Recently he's been working closely with SNL and Mad TV alum Jeff Richards as one of his very gay back-up dancers for his new album The Shingles.
