Owen Smith is a veteran stand-up comedian, writer, and executive producer with over 30 years of laugh-out-loud experience. He created and executive produced the upcoming series Crutch, starring Tracy Morgan, premiering this fall on Paramount+. He’s also the creator and host of Notebooks, a comedy docuseries where seasoned comedians revisit their earliest material and reflect on how they found their voice.

Owen has performed on Conan and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and is a regular at legendary clubs like The Comedy Store, the Hollywood Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Cellar in New York. His writing and producing credits include Black-ishSurvivor’s Remorse, and The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. He also served as showrunner for Season 4 of The Last O.G.—also starring Tracy Morgan.

With stand-up specials like Anonymous and Good Luck Everybody, Owen brings sharp jokes, real takes, and consistent laughs from start to finish.

You may know his face from some of your favorite television commercials but Owen Smith is a comedian. He made his late night stand up comedy debut on Conan but he was funny on several other shows before that: Russell Simmons Presents: The Ruckus, HBO’s Def Comedy JamPremium BlendChocolate NewsHip Hop SquaresLove You Mean ItLatino Laugh Festival: The Show — he made people laugh at festivals, colleges, universities, performed in 48 of the 50 states and shot two different hour comedy specials: Owen Smith: Anonymous and Good Luck Everybody — which made history by being the first ever comedy special shot entirely on iPhones.

Owen is funny live. When in LA he’s regularly funny at the Comedy Store in Hollywood and when in New York he brings his funny to the Comedy Cellar in the Village. And if you have satellite radio, then you’ve probably heard Owen be funny on one of your favorite Sirius/XM comedy channels.

Owen is also funny on paper. Over the years he’s written funny things for the tv shows: The Arsenio Hall ShowWhitney (NBC), Deon Cole’s Black Box, the Chris Rock hit Everybody Hates Chris, and Ice Cube’s Are We There Yet?
