Sarah Manning
As an artist and a class clown growing up, Sarah began cranking out impressions, characters, cartoons and satirical writing at an early age. Hailing from Cleveland, she made her stage debut as an actress there, while also improvising and emceeing. Her love of comedy eventually brought her to Chicago, where she was soon accepted into Second City's Music Improv Program. Meanwhile, she began doing standup and was featured in showcases around the city, as well as producing and hosting open mics of her own (Hot Bits Comin’ Through!, The Sedgwick Stop). She quickly became a well known figure in the comedy community, appearing in shows at Zanies, The Annoyance and the Second City to name a few. What you’ll find in her performances are timely, yet avant-garde, often dark and supremely goofy material. She has earned a reputation for her character work and innovative approach to standup.
