Whitney Wasson is a comedian and writer based in Chicago, IL. She co-produces the monthly stand-up showcase, Strip Joker, a monthly, body-positive showcase at Uptown Underground. Most recently, you might have seen her at the Burning Bridges Comedy Festival in Pittsburgh, or the Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival. Recent Chicago appearances include the Annoyance, Tuxedo Cat Comedy, Just Dickin' Around, 100 Proof Comedy, and even winning an improvised rap battle at What the Hipnonics. She has also made appearances on the popular Chicago podcasts, Tomefoolery and Tell Me I'm Funny. In past years, she's been in Blue Whale Comedy Festival in Tulsa and the Memphis Comedy Festival. With Nashville Comedy she performed at the first Broken Record show, helping break the world record for "Longest Standup Comedy Show by Multiple Comedians" (184+ hours) in 2015. She also starred in the award-winning documentary short, Stage Presence, which won the CSWE 2015 Virtual Film Festival. Most recently, she was featured in another student documentary short, With Comedic Intent. She can be seen weekly in Chicago and throughout the midwest.
