Comedy Camp

“Established 34 years ago by club owner Jamie Masada, Comedy Camp invites some 30 children ages 9 to 16 to interview and audition for eight weeks of onstage experience and instruction from working comics. While the kids in every class are drawn from multiple cities around town and economic backgrounds, Masada has long placed a focus on helping kids who face deeper challenges than most, whether from the loss of a parent, a disability or other hardships.” — Los Angeles Times

The Laugh Factory Comedy Camp inspires children by showing them that through hard work and practice, anything is possible. Children learn how to hone their comedy skills and are taught crucial lessons in laughter along the way. A safe space to experiment with humor and express themselves, Comedy Camp is perfect for any boy or girl who's ever watched a stand-up special and thought, “that’s what I want to be when I grow up!”

Comedy Camp graduates include Tiffany Haddish, Nick Cannon and Amanda Bynes. Previous instructors have included Richard Pryor, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Bob Saget, Paul Rodriguez, Dave Chappelle, Jon Lovitz, Damon Wayans, Adam Sandler, George Lopez, Chris Tucker, Dane Cook and many others.
